The dinnerware’s role has clearly evolved during the last decades: at first its purpose was merely functional, but currently it has become essential to the haute cuisine staging.
This transformation of the dinnerware into a more important element of the chef’s discourse, has made the plates’ customization necessary for it to be coherent with the idea behind the gastronomic creation.
In Luesma & Vega we customize the dinnerware taking into account the chef’s needs, helping to embody what the chef wants to evoke and convey through his work.
On one hand we create exclusive designs just for one restaurant, conferring a distinctive twist, reinforcing its identity and contributing to create a different sensorial experience. On the other hand we also customize already existing pieces from our catalogue adding the restaurant’s logo, the chef’s signature, or even a representative image of the establishment, in a manner that the dinnerware, even if not specially designed for the restaurant, becomes unique by this characteristic dash. This second customization alternative can be made by glass high-relief techniques, either in bright satin or in a silkscreen enamel that will be heated again for the mark to be indelible.
